A Path to Electric for Small Businesses

Green Fleets helps eligible small businesses transition to electric business vehicles through financial assistance and personalized support.

Vehicle Transition

Support toward an eligible new electric business vehicle.

Financial Assistance

Eligible businesses may receive assistance toward vehicle and charging costs.

Procurement Training

Participants receive intensive procurement training and enroll in the Black Bids procurement board.

Financial Support for Your Transition

Two areas of potential support for eligible businesses.

Electric Vehicle

Up to 25%

Eligible businesses may receive assistance covering up to 25% of eligible new vehicle purchase costs, capped at:.

$18,500

This is in addition to the trade-in value of an eligible gas-powered vehicle.

Charging Equipment

Up to 25%

Businesses may also receive up to 25% subsidy support for charging equipment.

Additional awards may be made available later in the program, but total support will never exceed 75% of vehicle cost and 100% of charging equipment cost.

Small Business Eligibility

Applicants must meet the program's small-business, ownership, and geographic requirements.

Physical Business Location

A qualifying non-residential physical place of business is required.

Vehicle Trade-In

Participants must have an eligible gas-powered business vehicle to trade in.

Black Bids Enrollment

Participants will be required to enroll in the Black Bids procurement board at BlackBids.com.

Program Participation

Applicants must be willing and able to:

  • Complete required training
  • Provide vehicle documentation
  • Participate in ongoing program reporting
  • Provide financial documentation
  • Contribute toward costs not covered by the program
